Hello class of 2024, my name is Amanda Balbuena and I am running to be your Junior Class President this upcoming school year. If I am elected to be class president, I will strive for goals such as academic equity and a safe learning environment, in order to promote our class’ successful achievement during a known difficult year of high school. I recognize that many of our spartans still feel disconnected from our campus community due to distance learning, so it will be a priority of the Junior cabinet to recreate these connections and build an environment that fosters leaders and promotes individuality. During previous years, I have been a part of different programs in and out of school that help our city youth and they have allowed me to gain leadership skills and develop new perspectives. I plan to use these skills I've learned as an individual and combine them with other leaders at school to integrate them into our campus. Besides working with our cabinet to build an inclusive community, I also hope to be an advocate for our class and communicate our needs to the student board. Ultimately my main goal is to be a powerful representative for our class. I believe that this can be accomplished if I hold an open and valuable conversation with our class. This open communication will allow for all students to get represented and have a voice in our campus. Remember: Want Success, Vote Amanda to get the best!
